Illustration for article titled Help for possible camping (not overlanding) trip in October

Hey guys, I’m looking at a group camping trip in either south Sierra Nevadas (Lake Isabella), Anza Borrego, or Idyllwild towards the end of the year around October or November. I know Anza Borrego will have good weather, but how are the wind conditions generally? The one time I went during that time of the year, it was calm, but I do know that sometimes the desert is no fun at night. Also, how are temperatures and conditions around Lake Isabella or Idyllwild? I’m mainly worried that it’ll get too cold and people will freeze.

Picture is just for fun. And maybe a hint as to the trip.
