GX spec? The Land Cruiser’s least expensive trim level. Designed for mining, military, government, etc. Been a thing since the 80 series here, then the 105, now the 200. Diesel only, steel wheels, factory snorkel, ambulance doors, cloth trip and vinyl floor covering, vinyl!

For those for whom a 70 series is a bit too agricultural (most of us in reality I suspect...) and can afford the extra $15k, this is what you get. The colour makes me think they are making a few private sales too.

On topic. I realised today, that probably my first proper off road driving in a proper off road vehicle was driving an Army ‘white fleet’ 105 Cruiser GX, which I promptly got stuck... Then somewhat less promptly got myself out (a good hour or so in the Northern Territory heat and humidity). So here I am, 11 years later driving a 105 series Land Cruiser. Still getting stuck.
